Whitsand Bay lies to the west of Plymouth on the south Cornish coast and is equally

popular with  local people and visitors for its beaches and outstanding views from

its cliffs. I did this painting from halfway up the cliff looking towards

Tregantle. I have tried to capture the light that shimmers across the bay during the

early evening - and yes, I really did see a man on the beach with a bicycle

during the painting!
